Is Now the Time to Start Swimming Lessons?

The summer holidays are over, the children are back at school and family routines are starting to fall back into place.

September always feels like a fresh start. New teachers, new activities, new routines, and for many families, it’s also the time to start thinking about those things you’ve been meaning to organise.

If swimming lessons have been on your list for a while, now could be the perfect time to get started.

Make Swimming Part of the Weekly Routine

Once school is back, it becomes much easier to see where activities can fit into family life.

At The Swim Stars, we offer children’s swimming lessons across our two pools in Brentwood, with a range of sessions designed to suit different ages, abilities and stages of their swimming journey.

Whether your child has never had a swimming lesson before, needs a little extra confidence in the water or is ready to work on their technique, we’ll help them progress at a pace that’s right for them.

More Than Just Learning to Swim

For us, swimming lessons aren’t simply about learning different strokes.

Swimming is a life skill.

Building water confidence and learning how to stay safe around water are incredibly important skills for every child. We want our Swim Stars to become capable swimmers, but we also want them to feel happy, confident and comfortable in the water.

Our small class sizes and personalised approach mean our teachers can get to know each swimmer and give them the encouragement and attention they need.

Sometimes progress means swimming a new distance or mastering a stroke. Other times, it might simply mean putting their face in the water, letting go of the side or arriving at their lesson feeling more confident than the week before.

We celebrate all of it.

Swimming Lessons at South Weald and Shenfield

Our swimming lessons take place across two Brentwood locations.

South Weald is our smaller, warm pool, offering a welcoming environment for younger swimmers, beginners and children who may feel more comfortable learning in a smaller setting.

Shenfield High School has our larger pool, giving swimmers the space to develop their technique, stamina and independence as their swimming progresses.

Having two different pools allows us to support swimmers through different stages of their journey while keeping the same Swim Stars focus on confidence, safety, progress and enjoyment.

Start the New School Year Swimming

September is one of the most popular times of year for families to enquire about swimming lessons, so if you’ve been thinking about getting your child started, it’s worth checking availability early.

From little swimmers taking their first steps into the water to older children developing their skills, we love welcoming new families into The Swim Stars community.

So now the children are back at school and life is settling into its usual rhythm, perhaps it’s time to tick swimming lessons off your list too.

Get in touch with The Swim Stars to find out about current swimming lesson availability at our South Weald and Shenfield pools in Brentwood.

We’d love to welcome your child to our Swim Stars family.
